Raja Ampat

Raja Ampat is a group of islands located in the northwest of the Papua New Guinea island, known as the “Coral Triangle” due to its status as the epicenter of coral reefs worldwide. It’s a world-famous marine protected area hosting over 500 species of coral and more than 1000 species of fish. Described by internationally acclaimed National Geographic photographer David Doubilet as an “extraordinary oasis that divers and underwater photographers must see.”

Our destination: Raja Ampat Papua Explorers Resort, www.papuaexplorers.com.

Nature tours focusing on both sea and land activities are also recommended for non-divers (it’s possible to see endemic paradise birds, sea-kayaking, visiting a local village, boat trips to beautiful islands, etc.):  https://www.papuaexplorers.com/activities/

An unforgettable diving paradise that you’ll definitely want to come back to. Three dives are made daily with boats, followed by unlimited dives (including night dives) in front of the resort. If you have a Nitrox license, Nitrox is provided free of charge. If not, you can obtain your license beforehand from Dragoman, with a non-diving program!
