Tour Program
Day 1: Apolonia-Aperlai, Hiking, 10-12 km
We meet at the Dragoman office early in the morning for a 30-40 minute ride in our company van to our hike’s starting point.
We hike from one ancient Lycian city ruin, Apolonia, to another, Aperlai, encountering ancient tombs and fortress walls along the way and admiring stunning sea views. At the end of the hike we can reward ourselves with a refreshing swim in the spring waters of the bay and maybe snorkel over sunken ruins too. We will camp at the secluded “Purple House” in Aperlai, a small self-sustainable refuge run by a married couple that is organically intertwined with nature and the local landscape. They grow their own food and make delicious vegetarian food from scratch.
